Summary
Under general direction, assists with the organization of daily operations of the athletic department by planning and coordinating various aspects of all athletic events; manages all facility maintenance operations including scheduling of all facilities and provides support for facility related projects; complies with NCAA, Atlantic 10 and university rules and regulations .Oversees athletic facilities; maintains communication with appropriate campus departments for successful management of the venues; conducts facility walk-throughs and completes facility checklists pertaining to each facility; ensures facility work orders are processed accurately and timely; coordinates the scheduling of all facilities using a team approach to management and stewardship of the facility including rentals to outside groups and camps.
Job Responsibilities
- Coordinates the daily organization and overall administration of athletics facilities and events on campus
- Supervises, trains, and schedules event student workers
- Coordinates all aspects of athletic events including set up, clean up, communication, and payment of officials
- Conducts daily walk throughs of all athletic facilities and completes facility checklists pertaining to each facility
- Responsible for overall maintenance and upkeep of all athletics facilities
- Responsible for NCAA, Atlantic 10 and University compliance
- Performs other duties as assigned Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Proven ability to work independently, prioritize, and complete tasks in a timely manner
- Excellent communication skills required for working with diverse groups
- Strong written communication skills; excellent organizational skills with accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion handling sensitive matters involving student-athletes
Minimum Qualifications –Bachelor’s degree; supplemented with two (2) years of related experience; ability to work non-traditional hours including nights and weekends.
