We're searching for a Senior Engineering Manager to join Atlassian and manage a Jira Align product team. As a Senior Engineering Manager, you'll be a technical leader and people manager, responsible for guiding the team to technical decisions for production services, helping prioritize and organize the team's work, and providing career growth and mentorship opportunities to your team. You will manage a group of 10-18 engineers on a React/.NET Engineering Team and work closely with your design and product management counterparts to build user journeys that unleash the potential of our future customers.
Job Responsibilities
On your first day, we'll expect you to have:
Lead, inspire and grow a team of engineers
Partner with engineers, designers and product managers to deliver quality features for Jira Align
Contribute to the definition of goals and strategy for your team
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Obsession for quality and automation
Working with remote and distributed teams across time zones
A desire for process improvements and a drive to make things better than they are today
It's great, but not required, if you have:
Fluency in the Microsoft tech stack/languages (.Net, C#, scripting languages, etc.) with the ability to perform code reviews & provide feedback
Experience working with Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure
Your Background
5+ years of experience leading and growing a high-caliber engineering team
8+ years experience as individual contributor
Experience building, scaling and operating large scale SaaS-based products
Experience working with Product Management and influencing the roadmap
Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies
A track record of execution, risk management, and delivering outcomes
Compensation
At Atlassian, we strive to design equitable, explainable, and competitive compensation programs. To support this goal, the baseline of our range is higher than that of the typical market range, but in turn we expect to hire most candidates near this baseline. Base pay within the range is ultimately determined by a candidate's skills, expertise, or experience. In the United States, we have three geographic pay zones. For this role, our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are:
Zone A: $205,700 - $274,300
Zone B: $185,200 - $246,900
Zone C: $170,800 - $227,700
This role may also be eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and equity.
