Staff Accountant - 147273

Our client, a nationally recognized logistics company, is seeking to expand their accounting and finance department by bringing on a Staff Accountant.Salary/Hourly Rate$60k – $70k plus BonusPosition OverviewThe Staff Accountant, reporting to the Controller, will be responsible for the general ledger maintenance. The Staff Accountant will also coordinate financial statement prep and month-end/year-end close procedures.Responsibilities Of The Staff Accountant• Code journal entries to the general ledger.• Generate accounting policies and procedures.• Recommend process improvements and efficiencies within the department.• Work with the Sales team to reconcile billing disputes.• Bank reconciliations.• Resolve accounts payable and accounts receivable discrepancies.• Assist in maintaining the vendor management system.• Review Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable journal entries before recording for close.Qualifications For The Staff Accountant• 1+ years of accounting or Staff Accountant experience including journal entries and month-end close.• Strong attention to detail.• Exposure to large ERP systems/accounting systems is a plus.Education Requirements• Business-related degree required.• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is preferred.Benefits• Medical, dental, and vision.• 401k with match.• PTO and paid sick time.• Paid holidays.• Bonus.As a woman-owned firm, we value diversity.
