We are seeking a DevOps engineer to join our team and support both internal teams and customers. The ideal candidate will be a curious individual open to new ideas; a thoughtful communicator; detail-oriented; and willing to pick work up off the floor without being asked. This role requires collaboration with people across the organization along with customers of Atropos Health.
Automate & Optimize:
Build and fine-tune CI/CD pipelines to make deployments as easy as possible.
Optimize our cloud infrastructure to ensure cost efficiency, security, and agility.
Monitor & Support:
Keep our systems humming by using HA architectures to keep them up despite the best efforts of entropy.
Troubleshoot issues using various tools and techniques
Collaborate and communicate:
Work hand-in-hand with engineers and others within the company to understand their needs and promote best practices.
Communicate proactively, effectively, openly, and empathetically with internal and external teams. Don’t bury people in technical jargon.
Infrastructure Management:
Manage cloud computing infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to ensure consistent, secure, scalable deployment of resources.
Continuous Improvement:
Keep an ear to the ground for industry trends and bring fresh ideas to the team.
Always think about how we can always improve our infrastructure, information security, and associated processes.
The ideal candidate displays the following skills. If you don’t possess them all, please consider applying anyway if you have a majority of them; no one is perfect.
Reads and writes HCL (Terraform) well enough to create production-ready modules.
Administration and troubleshooting of the following:
Linux
AWS
GCP
Docker
Datadog
Works within the SDLC and associated tools, including:
CI/CD
Github
JFrog
Works effectively in a fully remote environment.
Communicates effectively with customers, vendors, and employees.
Read and write shell scripts (bash).
Familiar with python and boto3.
Familiar with SAML/OIDC and at least one IdP.
Comfortable with IP addressing and subnetting.
Follows written documentation, notes when it is inadequate or incorrect, and takes constructive action to fix the problem.
Creates written documentation for complicated solutions or those with less than obvious trapdoors.
Proactively works within an infosec compliance framework.
Actively encourages a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, effective communication, and learning.
The Senior DevOps Engineer reports directly to the Manager, DevOps David Bogen.
