The individual in this role represents, produces, develops, and archives photographic and video documentation of Recreation and Wellness programs, services, and events. Creates consistent, high-quality photographs and video to enhance the visual identity and brand according to established department and university standards. Photography or video assignments may be onsite or on location and may often occur after standard business hours.Temporary Employment Services (TES), a unit of the Auburn University Department of Human Resources, is an in-house support center established to meet the temporary employment needs of the university. TES provides qualified and dedicated temporary employees in a wide variety of occupations to meet the staffing needs throughout the campus.If you are looking for an employment opportunity, TES is a great way to showcase your professional skills and assist Auburn University while gaining valuable work experience within higher education.AU student employees are not eligible for TES.Essential Functions• Utilizes professional knowledge and artistic judgement to provide the highest quality photography and video for sports, fitness, outdoor recreation, and wellness programs, competitions, and special events.• Photography or video assignments may be onsite, on location and may often occur after hours.• Creates engaging photography and video to increase reach, engagement, and participation among Auburn University students.• Maintains a comprehensive photography and video library and efficiently labels and archives all images.• Plans and executes promotional photo and video shoots for Recreation and Wellness programs, services, and events.• Operates and maintains all photography and video equipment and accessories.• Edits all image and video formats and any other media asset based on placement (web, news, social media, and print publications).• Archives/uploads completed video and photography in a timely manner.• Performs digital work consisting of scanning, cropping, color correction, and retouching for both photography and video.• Maintains comprehensive library and appropriately archives digital files for historical documentation and future use.• Mentors and trains student workers in photography, videography, and editing.Minimum Qualifications• Bachelor’s degreeExpectations:• Knowledge of photo and video editing software including the Adobe Creative Suite— specifically Premiere Pro, Photoshop, and Lightroom.Desired Qualifications• Working Knowledge of After Effects and Adobe Illustrator.• 2-3 years of professional experience in photography, videography, or digital marketing.Posting Detail Information• Salary Range: $20.00 - $25.00/hour• Work Hours: varies- scheduled as needed• City position is located in: Auburn• State position is located: Alabama• Posting Date: 08/13/2024• Closing Date: N/AEEO Statement: Auburn University is committed to an inclusive and diverse campus environment.
