Senior Software Engineer (APIs & Integrations)

Key Responsibilities

• Build and deliver AuditBoard’s integration platform and customer-facing API
• Leave everything better than when you found it: improve the tests, the process, the UX, and the people
• Seek out opportunities to collaborate with other engineering teams, product lines, and customers to bring value where it’s needed
• Write clear and well-defined documentation - and keep it up to date
• Monitor our new features when they land with tools like DataDog, Sentry, and Amplitude
• Triage bugs. Debug them with logs + other APM tooling, and fix them - quickly.
• Write well-designed, maintainable, observable, and testable code.
• Truly understand our customers, both product teams and end users.
• Work with Typescript + Hapi/express/tsoa on the backend, Typescript + Ember on the frontend
• Build, deploy, and monitor background jobs running on BullMQ + AWS lambda
• Maintain our microservices + debug them in K8s
• Participate in an Agile software development life cycle

Attributes for a successful candidate

• Experience with Node (Typescript) and developing REST APIs
• Understand how to build well-designed, maintainable, observable and testable full-stack web apps - from DB schema to accessibility
• Modern JS/TS frontend framework Experience, 
• Ember is preferred (it’s what you’ll use!), but Vue, React, Angular, etc are totally fine 
• Experience with standing up & “light” debugging of infrastructure (Helm Charts,  K8s)
• Bonus points
• Experience creating or consuming OAuth integrations
• Experience designing and developing public-facing APIs
• Experience building things from scratch
• 4+ years of experience developing modern full-stack web apps
