Work-study Eligibility: Required

Timeframe: Academic Year, 2024-25

Pay Rate: $15.57 per hour

The Schwartz School of the Arts seeks to hire one student employee to serve as an Event and Promotional Support Assistant. This position is for the 2024-2025 academic year at 10 hours/week.

Essential job functions include, but are not limited to:

• On-site event support, including: setup, tear down, registration, wayfinding, etc.

• Assist with event development, including: scheduling, logistics, resources, etc.

• Communication with event partners and collaborating entities

• Copywriting and creation of promotional strategy

• Implementation of social media strategy

• Occasional dip into the graphic design process

Required Skills:

• Must be able to work some evenings and weekends

• Comfortable working in Google workspace applications

• Strong communication skills

• Attention to detail and consistency

• Ability to work independently

• Focus on creative problem-solving

Required Experience:

• Familiarity with major social media platforms and their features

• Basic knowledge of design tools (e.g. Canva) and video editing, preferred

• Staging/event experience, preferred
