Job summary:

As our Event Manager, APAC at AutogenAI, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and optimising marketing events across the APAC region, ensuring they drive lead generation, engage key prospects, and showcase AutogenAI’s product to C-suite audiences. You will collaborate closely with the marketing, sales, and product teams to create high-impact events that contribute to business growth and strengthen our brand presence. This role offers an opportunity to lead event strategy in a high-growth SaaS environment, with opportunity for creative input and career development. 

What you'll be responsible for:

  • Event Planning & Execution: Lead the planning, coordination, and management of a diverse range of events, including prospect dinners, conferences, industry events, and customer success experiences. 
  • Venue Research & Selection: Stay informed about the latest venues, restaurants, and spaces ideal for hosting ultra-exclusive C-suite events, ensuring a high standard of experience. 
  • Event Strategy & Lead Generation: Develop strategies to maximize attendance, engagement, and lead generation for all events, ensuring alignment with sales objectives. 
  • Collaboration: Work closely with sales, marketing, and product teams to align event activities with overall business goals and product showcases. 
  • Vendor & Partner Management: Establish and manage relationships with local businesses, venues, media partners, and other stakeholders to create successful events. 
  • Budget Management: Oversee the marketing events budget, ensuring events deliver maximum ROI and align with company priorities. 
  • Tracking & Reporting: Measure event success by tracking key metrics, analysing outcomes, and providing detailed reports to assess event effectiveness and areas for improvement. 
  • Brand Promotion: Represent AutogenAI at industry events and trade shows, promoting the brand and fostering relationships with key prospects and partners. 
  • Process Development: Create and document processes, operations manuals, and guidelines to ensure event success and scalability across the APAC region. 

What you'll bring to the team:

  • Creative Event Management: A creative thinker with a passion for designing memorable, high-impact events that drive business results and resonate with key decision-makers. 
  • Exceptional Organisational Skills: Ability to plan, manage, and execute multiple events simultaneously, with attention to every detail and the ability to manage competing priorities. 
  • Strong Communication: Excellent communication and presentation skills, essential for collaborating with internal teams, vendors, and event attendees. 
  • Marketing Acumen: A strong understanding of marketing and lead generation principles, with experience leveraging events to drive sales engagement. 
  • Collaboration & Independence: Ability to work collaboratively across teams and independently, ensuring events align with AutogenAI’s broader marketing and sales strategies. 
  • Experience: 4+ years of experience in corporate or high-end hospitality, events management, or marketing, with a focus on planning and executing high-value, high-impact events. 
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in marketing automation tools, CRM systems, and event management platforms. 
  • Project Management: Exceptional communication, organisational, and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. 
  • Collaboration & Independence: Proven ability to work both collaboratively with cross-functional teams and independently as needed. 
  • Creative & Detail-Oriented: A creative thinker with rigorous attention to detail, ensuring events are both memorable and aligned with business goals. 

Preferred qualifications:

  • Marketing Knowledge: Deep understanding of effective marketing and communications strategies, especially in SaaS and technology-driven events. 
  • Leadership: Experience managing staff or external creatives/agencies to drive successful event outcomes. 
  • Thought Leadership: Ability to create or collaborate on thought-leadership content pieces that enhance the impact of events.  
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with SaaS and technology-driven events, with a thorough understanding of how events drive lead generation and account growth. 
  • Competitive Salary: AUD $102,000 – AUD 134,000 per year depending on specific experience relevant to the scope of the role.
