We are looking for an experienced Account Director dedicated to providing exceptional customer satisfaction in a highly dynamic role! You will lead the development of learning strategy and the creation of educational video, eLearning, training events and instructor-led content for major automotive manufacturers. The ideal candidate has a passion for learning and employee engagement, and extensive experience in a client services role. You have planned and executed complex projects in a timely fashion, within scope and budget, while communicating with management and team members to exceed client expectations. Automotive industry experience is required!


Day to Day Responsibilities

As an Account Director at MSX, you will assume responsibility for strategic direction and management of a major OEM client account, leading a team of project managers, graphic artists, and developers in developing client relationships and delivering on commitments. You will:

  • Develop and maintain successful relationships with clients, understanding and predicting their needs and serving as their primary point of contact.
  • Lead approximately 15 account team members to accomplish goals related to the design, development, and delivery of training for OEM retail and corporate employees.
  • Employ your understanding of learning methodologies and technologies to define cutting-edge solutions that positively impact retail employee performance and engagement, customer satisfaction and dealership profitability.
  • Lead and mentor MSX account team, providing guidance and support to motivate team members, maximizing employee and client satisfaction.
  • Oversee and manage project priorities as you lead the development of high-quality solutions.
  • Oversee client communications and meetings related to:
    • Relationship building
    • Account planning and support
    • Status meetings and Quarterly Business Reviews
    • Escalated items, as needed
  • Collaborate with department leads in Production and Software Development to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Uncover and facilitate new growth opportunities within current accounts, while providing thought leadership to clients.
  • Manage account budgets, track financial performance, and ensure profitability targets are met.
  • Collaborate with senior management to develop account strategies, set performance goals, and drive overall business growth.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed account documentation, including contracts, agreements, and project plans (i.e., Scope of Services).
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, competitive landscape, and market conditions to provide strategic insights and recommendations to clients.

  • Experience in organizing, prioritizing, and implementing project tasks.

  • Proven success guiding an account team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to direct cross-functional teams during the development and implementation of major initiatives.
  • Evaluate and mitigate project risks.
  • Experience managing large budgets and project profitability.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.


Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field.
  • Master’s degree a plus.


Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years as an Account Manager with automotive OEMs
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience managing an Account Team
  • Experience in learning and performance improvement a plus


The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate may not have been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At MSXi, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $120k to $135k based on current experience.
