As a Founding Engineer, you’ll play a key role in designing and building our AI procurement agent. You have extensive experience building backend systems in Python, and ideally you will have experience building with LLMs and modern AI tools. You’ll need to operate with relentless speed and minimal guidance, taking initiative to solve problems yourself. We’re right at the forefront of new technologies, so you should be comfortable in a rapidly changing and sometimes ambiguous environment, where adaptability is essential, and with minimal hand-holding. You should have a proven track record of planning, designing, and executing complex projects independently or as a tech lead, ideally at an early stage startup. As this is a remote role (within UK/Ireland), it is critical that you are an exceptional communicator, both to technical and non-technical employees.

Significant experience as a Senior(+) Backend Engineer, leading complex projects hands-on from ideation to release
Previous experience in an early-stage, high-growth startup environment

Highly autonomous, while simultaneously valuing teamwork and can work effectively with others
