Axle is seeking a Full Stack Developer to join our vibrant team at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) supporting the National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences located in Rockville, MD.

- Develop and maintain robust and scalable web applications using Node.js and Angular.
- Work on both client-side and server-side components to ensure seamless integration and functionality.
- Design and implement RESTful APIs to support front-end functionalities and ensure smooth data flow between the server and client.
- Design, implement, and manage databases, ensuring efficient and optimized queries for data retrieval and storage.
- Implement responsive user interfaces using HTML, CSS, and Angular to deliver a seamless user experience across multiple devices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers and other developers, to translate business requirements into high-quality software solutions.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
- Develop and execute unit tests and integration tests to ensure code quality and reliability.
- Implement and optimize CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, deployment, and monitoring of applications.
- Identify and resolve bugs, performance bottlenecks, and other issues in a timely manner.
- Conduct thorough testing to ensure the reliability and stability of applications.
- Implement security best practices and protocols to safeguard web applications against potential threats.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior developers, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience as a Full Stack Developer, with a focus on Node.js and Angular.
- Proficiency in Node.js, Angular, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
- Experience with RESTful API development and integration.
- Knowledge of database systems such as MongoDB, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
- Strong proficiency in using version control systems, especially Git.
- Familiarity with build tools and package managers.
- Experience with testing frameworks such as Jasmine, Mocha, or Jest.
- Knowledge of test-driven development (TDD) practices.
- Understanding of deployment processes and experience with CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proactive approach to identifying and addressing technical challenges.
- Ability to adapt to new technologies and industry trends.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment, sharing knowledge and contributing to a positive team culture.
