Azure Administrator

Your Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Administer and manage Azure cloud environments, including virtual machines, storage accounts, networks, and other Azure resources.
  • Monitor and maintain the availability, performance, and security of Azure infrastructure, applying best practices and implementing necessary configurations.
  • Provision and manage virtual machines, including image creation, sizing, deployment, and monitoring.
  • Configure and manage Azure networking components, such as virtual networks, subnets, network security groups, and load balancers.
  • Implement and manage Azure storage solutions, including Blob storage, Azure Files, and Azure Disk storage.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot Azure services, analyzing logs, alerts, and metrics to identify and resolve issues.
  • Implement and manage backups, disaster recovery, and high availability solutions in Azure.
  • Collaborate with development teams to deploy and manage applications in Azure, ensuring optimal performance and scalability.
  • Implement and manage Azure security solutions, including Azure Security Center, Azure Key Vault, and Azure Active Directory.
  • Implement and manage Azure resource policies and governance to enforce compliance and security standards.
  • Stay up to date with the latest Azure updates, features, and best practices, providing recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Automate administrative tasks using Azure PowerShell, Azure CLI, or infrastructure-as-code tools like Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates or Terraform.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement cloud migration strategies, ensuring smooth transitions to Azure.
  • Participate in agile development practices, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and design reviews
Required Qualifications/Skills:
  • Bachelor’s degree (B.S/B.A) from four-college or university and 5 to 8 years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions
  • Applicable knowledge of networking hardware and infrastructure (routers, switches, firewalls, servers)
  • Knowledge of how to troubleshoot network problems
  • Active listening skills and the ability to communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Physical Demand & Work Environment:
  • Must have the ability to perform office-related tasks which may include prolonged sitting or standing
  • Must have the ability to move from place to place within an office environment
  • Must be able to use a computer
  • Must have the ability to communicate effectively
  • Some positions may require occasional repetitive motion or movements of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers
Salary Range
$96,900.00 - $150,000.00 USD (Salary)
  • Please note that the salary information provided herein is base pay only (gross); it does not include other forms of compensation which may or may not apply to this specific position, namely, performance-based bonuses, benefits-related payments, or other general incentives - none of which are guaranteed, may be subject to specific eligibility requirements, and are wholly within the discretion of Astreya to remit.
  • Further, the salary information noted above is a range that consists of a minimum and maximum rate of pay for this specific position. Where an applicant or employee is placed on this range will depend and be contingent on objective, documented work-related considerations like education, experience, certifications, licenses, preferred qualifications, among other factors.
