Azure Kubernetes Administrator

Tiger Analytics, a leading management consulting firm, is seeking an experienced Azure Kubernetes Administrator to join their team. As the Azure Kubernetes Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and scaling Kubernetes clusters in Azure. You will work closely with the development and operations teams to ensure the availability and performance of the company's applications running on Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Knowledge and understanding of security systems, risks, concepts, and terminology.
• Resolve issues and provide technical assistance on the Azure cloud-hosted environment.
• A basic understanding of project management and system development lifecycle methodologies is preferred.
• Document issue resolutions and changes in cloud or system configurations.
• Perform and evaluate cost analyses and vendor comparisons of software/hardware systems to ensure cost-effective and efficiency and measures feasibility of various approaches and makes recommendations.
• Comprehension of basic scripting languages (e.g., shell, PERL, Visual Basic, PHP,Expect).
• Ability to diagnose security, network, and system issues.
• Design, implement, configure, and maintain Azure SaaS/PaaS/IaaS Cloud Services for hosting a wide range of complex projects.
• Provide technical guidance and build platform blueprints – physical architecture.
• Needs to have a continual improvement mindset while working within a team centric environment.
• Apply advanced methods, theories and research techniques and assist in the development, implementation and documentation of processes and procedures to ensure compliance with standard business practices.
• Perform root cause analysis of critical outage and incidents, engineer permanent solutions, and coordinate implementation.

Requirements

• Azure Kubernetes and DevOps are a must.
• Experience in Terraform provisioning.
• Monitoring and Scanning tools: ELK, Grafana, Prometheus, Snyk Fortify and SonarQube
• Real-time troubleshooting skills on AKS
• Ingress controller: Istio and ngnix.
• Must know load balancing as a service concept and implementation in AKS.
• Must have clear understanding of NSGs, azure baseline security guidelines.
• Implement, and maintain security infrastructure.
• Maintain appropriate event logging for detecting and reporting of key security events.
• Create and maintain technical system documentation.
• Proven ability to work with large cross functional teams with good communication skills.
• Provide security input into technical efforts such as system, network, application and database design.
