Qi2 is seeking only the very best of talent equally inspired by the personal desire to be part of something meaningful and rewarding.Partner with the bestThe API 653 Field Technician Foreman, under direction of the Supervisor, Gulf Coast Operations, has the primary job function to lead and facilitate the safe and efficient delivery of API 510/570/653 related services including robotic inspections of above ground storage tanks and pressure vessels.As a Field Technician Specialist, you will be responsible for:• Maintaining a safe work environment and ensure that safety procedures are being followed and equipment is in proper working order.• Performing all inspections in accordance with API 653 and other related standards.• Documenting all inspection activities in accordance with company and customer guidelines.• Recommending repairs and perform inspection of completed repair work, as appropriate.• Managing accurate and professional communications with both customers and the office.• Managing and direct the field crew to efficiently complete each project.• Must be able to make quick decisions on the job to ensure successful completions of projects.• Completing all required training within company guidelines.• Other duties as assigned.Fuel your passionTo be successful in this role you will require:• Have 5 years field inspection experience.• Must be API-653 Certified.• Have the ability to maintain good working relationships with co-workers, management, vendors and customers.• Must be willing to travel (approximately 75% travel), with little notice including travel overnight and by air.• Have excellent communications skills both orally and in writing.• Have the ability to pass background and drug testing, including ongoing random testing.• Must have valid driver’s license, have or ability to obtain passport, TWIC card (homeland security).• Must be comfortable with heights and tight spaces.• Must have knowledge or certified to perform MT, VT, MFL, PT and other NDE methods as required.WORKING CONDITIONS :• May include occasional exposure to shop environment involving lifting of material and/or products up to 50 pounds• Work frequently involves working from a kneeling/all-fours position• Work involves working in Confined Spaces• Work is conducted in an outdoor setting and in all weather• Must have adequate vision/corrective eyewear and be able to distinguish colors• Must be able to climb stairs and ladders frequently and repetitively• Must be available by phone during nonstandard working hours• Must be able to pass a Pulmonary Fit Test, if required• Includes heavy travel schedule, estimated at 75%Work in a way that works for youWe recognize that everyone is different and that the way in which people want to work and deliver at their best is different for everyone too.
