Job Description

Reports directly to the Director of SEO and is responsible for leading a holistic SEO-first content strategy aligned with digital marketing and business goals, ensuring strong search visibility through high-quality content, leading a high-performing team, driving cross-functional collaboration, applying content marketing best practices, and leveraging generative AI to boost content creation and performance.

What you’ll be doing:

Strategic Leadership & Team Management

  • Defines and drives the overall SEO vision and roadmap in alignment with business objectives.
  • Leads and mentors a team of SEO Content professionals, providing guidance, setting performance expectations, and fostering professional growth.
  • Champions cross-functional collaboration, ensuring SEO best practices are seamlessly integrated into content marketing, UX, development, and digital merchandising efforts.
  • Develops and communicates a structured framework for ongoing education and innovation in order to keep ahead of the ever changing landscape.

Holistic SEO & Content Strategy

  • Develops a robust SEO Content strategy that enhances brand visibility and user engagement.
  • Oversees the development of high-quality, search-optimized content that aligns with user intent and business priorities.
  • Integrates generative AI tools and technology into the content creation process to drive efficiency, scalability, and innovation.
  • Guides the creation of evergreen and campaign-based content strategies that support organic growth across multiple channels.
  • Ensures content aligns with audience segmentation, brand voice, and conversion goals.

Advanced SEO Expertise & Technical Optimization

  • Maintains expert-level knowledge of SEO best practices and industry trends.
  • Leads SEO initiatives for large-scale content updates, redesigns and optimizations.
  • Collaborates with various cross teams such as UX, Ecommerce and Marketing and Social Media to ensure SEO is a core component accounted for.

Data-Driven Decision Making

  • Utilizes a range of analytical tools to measure performance, user engagement, and ROI.
  • Establishes and tracks key performance indicators (KPIs) to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Drives experimentation and A/B testing initiatives to continuously refine strategies and improve outcomes.

SEO Tools, Innovation & AI

  • Integrates AI-powered content optimization tools to enhance productivity and content effectiveness.
  • Facilitates the education of the team on emerging trends, such as voice search, AI-driven search experiences, and structured data advancements.
  • Collaborates with partners to explore opportunities for Generative Ai applications in search optimization.

Organizational Development & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Builds strong relationships with internal stakeholders to embed SEO best practices across functions/channels.
  • Represents the SEO function in leadership meetings, presenting insights and strategic recommendations.
  • Advocates for continuous learning, attending industry conferences, and fostering a culture of experimentation. Support any other projects that may be assigned from time to time by other Company officers.
  • Ensures the harmonious relationship between the Company’s officers and co-employees in carrying out the job assigned.
  • Maintains timely attendance for scheduled work hours and meetings, with appropriate preparation to meet work and meeting objectives.

Other Duties and Responsibilities

Performs other duties that may be assigned from time to time.

 

What we’re looking for:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Digital Strategy or any related business management course. Preferably with master’s degree/units.
  • Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in SEO or digital content creation, with at least five (5) years in a managerial or senior leadership role.
  • Proven experience in developing and executing large-scale SEO or Content strategies.
  • Strong understanding of SEO, content marketing, and the digital landscape.
  • Experience in leveraging AI-driven content creation and SEO automation tools.
  • Proficiency in SEO and Content Creation tools
  • Understanding and experience of working with HTML, CMS, JavaScript and their impact on SEO.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate across functions and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • A problem-solving mindset.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and strategic thinking abilities.

Location: The SEO Content Manager position is a remote working position for Balsam International Unlimited Company - Philippine ROHQ in Manila. Team members in the Philippines are located within Metro Manila, Bataan, Batangas, Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna, Pampanga, Rizal, and Tarlac areas only.

Our must-haves:

  • Must attend occasional in-person meetings.
  • Must have a fast, reliable DSL, Fiber, or Broadband connection (not mobile or broadband stick) as the primary internet connection with a minimum actual speed of 50MBPS.

Status: This is a full-time, permanent position with benefits.

Hardware Provision: Company-issued Laptop will be provided on your first day.
