Essential Job Duties...
BambooHR is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Internal Events Manager to join our dynamic marketing team. The Internal Events Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing a variety of internal events and activities aimed at enhancing employee engagement and fostering a positive workplace culture. Key events include bi-annual employee events (both virtual and in person), as well as other activities such as the summer picnic and other employee gatherings as needed. As part of the BambooHR marketing events team, you’ll be asked to support additional events, both in-person and virtual on an ad hoc basis.
• Event Planning and Execution: Plan, coordinate, and execute bi-annual employee events, including collaborating with the appropriate teams to shape the content and themes for the event, all aspects of logistics, budgeting, vendor management, and onsite coordination.
• Employee Engagement Activities: Organize and oversee additional employee engagement activities such as the summer picnic, and other special events throughout the year.
• Creative Concept Development: partner with the creative team and larger events team to develop creative concepts and themes for events that align with BambooHR’s culture and values, ensuring a memorable and enjoyable experience for employees.
• Collaboration and Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including HR, Facilities, and Employee Experience to ensure seamless execution of events and activities. Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
• Budget Management: Manage event budgets effectively, ensuring all expenses are tracked and allocated appropriately to maximize ROI.
• Post-Event Evaluation: Conduct post-event evaluations to gather feedback and insights for continuous improvement, and prepare comprehensive event recaps and reports for senior management.
What You Need to Get the Job Done
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Event Management, Hospitality, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in event planning and management, preferably in a corporate environment.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-service mindset.
• Creative thinker with a passion for creating engaging and memorable experiences.
• Proven ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
