DescriptionBank of America's Healthcare, Education and Not-for-Profit Group (HENFP) is seeking a Underwriter I / II to join our team.The Healthcare, Education & Not-for-Profit group is part of the Global Commercial Bank and supports the financial needs of a variety of 501(c) not for profit clients including healthcare (hospitals, health systems, senior living and insurance providers), education (private universities, colleges and K-12 schools) and traditional not-for-profit organizations (cultural, professional, and social service organizations).This job is responsible for performing risk assessment and repayment capacity analysis (i.e., financial, borrower, industry, etc.and preparing transaction justification for moderately complex / complex transactions with limited oversight. Key responsibilities include documenting credit analysis, independently assessing historic and projected borrower financial information, evaluating adherence to policy and procedure, providing loan structure analysis and recommendations, and monitoring portfolio performance.Responsibilities :• Evaluates credit worthiness and provides analysis and decisioning on whether a client should receive a credit facility• Partners with Credit Officers, Relationship Management, and Risk teammates to assess and deliver credit solutions• Monitors the client's operating performance and financial condition, proactively identifying issues and opportunities• Delivers financial modeling, loan structure, industry, economic, and other analysis to team members to support the loan decision-making process• Ensures adherence to credit policies, guidelines, procedures, and applicable regulatory requirementsRequired Skills :• 5 years of solid experience in financial analysis, structuring, underwriting and portfolio management, strong communication and analytical / technical skills, including financial accounting, modeling and loan structuring in Commercial Banking• Analytical / technical skills, including financial accounting, and modeling• Experience in financial analysis and portfolio managementDesired Skills :BS / BA degree and 2-3 years of credit analyst experience preferredSkills :• Credit and Risk Assessment• Financial Analysis• Underwriting• Attention to Detail• Written Communications• Financial Forecasting and Modeling• Recording / Organizing Information• Credit Documentation Requirements• Analytical Thinking• Collateral Management• Loan Structuring• Business Acumen• Collaboration• PrioritizationThis position can be filled as an UW I or IIMinimum Education Requirement :High School Diploma / GED / Secondary School or equivalentShift :1st shift (United States of America)Hours Per Week :Last updated : 2024-08-27
