Bardy Diagnostics is an exciting, fast growing organization within Baxter with a unique and compelling product looking for the right Principal Back-End Software Engineer to help us achieve our mission!Join a multi-skilled team dedicated to developing innovative wearable cardiac arrhythmia monitors and associated cloud-based software. In this role, you'll work in a small and dedicated team passionate about the development of these products. The ideal candidate will be motivated by the unique challenges and opportunities of a fast-growing medical device organization, by solving sophisticated technical problems, and have a penchant for continuous improvement and engineering excellence.What you'll be doing• Build secure, reliable, scalable and efficient backends systems.• Developing and maintaining a GraphQL API.• Work as a team to develop high quality, testable applications based on product and regulatory requirements.• Contribute within a collaborative environment, using lean but effective software practices.• Design and coding practices consistent with security and regulatory standards.• Develop software to integrate with legacy application systems and infrastructure, as needed.What you'll bring• BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent with 5+ years of experience designing and developing web applications.• Emphasis on designing and building backend systems and APIs (Graph preferred) and building systems at scale.• Excellent coding skills and strong proficiency in web technologies, with an emphasis in JavaScript web development in Azure or Linux-based hosting.• Experience with Node.js.• Strong knowledge of database technologies: PostgreSQL, Azure SQL DB, Cosmos DB, and Azure storage tables.• Demonstrated ability to tune application and database for performance.• Demonstrable strong design and programming fundamentals.• Familiarity with configuration management and issue tracking.Preferred, but not required:• Experience developing to any of HITRUST, HIPAA, SOC2, SOX, PCI standards preferred.• Familiarity with .NET/Python/Java preferred.If you're ready to take on a new challenge and make a meaningful impact, we want to hear from you! The estimated base salary for this position is $112,000 to $154,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
