Behavioral Science & Analytics Analyst (Remote)

What’s My Impact?


As a Behavioral Science & Analytics Analyst, you will work closely with senior members of the team and provide support by leveraging behavioral science and data science to address specific business challenge, better understand and predict consumer behavior and formulate insight-based recommendations. Responsibilities will include applying statistics knowledge to analyze data, design experiments, conduct A/B testing, and document results with recommendations that align to strategic business objectives.


What Are My Key Responsibilities?

  • Conduct research, create test design, collect and analyze data from internal and external data sources. Develop insights into members’ behavior and create recommendations.
  • Perform data extracts using SQL and/or SAS and integrate data across multiple areas of Delivery Systems, including medical, pharmacy, quality and operational transactional systems. Knowledge of R is a plus.
  • Stay on top of the latest research and assist the team in developing behavioral science as a core competency throughout the Enterprise. Develop training materials and presentations to evangelize behavioral economics in the organization.
  • Build trusting collaborative relationships with clients of all levels.


What’s Required?

  • 2+ years related work experience.
  • Related Master’s Degree required Behavioral science field, such as psychology, social science, consumer behavior, or behavioral economics.
  • Experience in one or more core industry sectors, preferably healthcare
  • Superb written and oral communication skills with ability to synthesize complex information and communicate it in an engaging way.
  • Ability to engage effectively with a wide range of people, including senior executives, clinicians, sales people, and consumers.
  • Capable of balancing priorities of simultaneous projects and demands.

What’s Preferred?


  • PhD in a related field
  • Work experience in a health care and / or insurance setting
  • Florida Blue or Guidewell experience
  • Knowledge and experience in programming languages (R, Python, SQL, etc.)
  • Econometrics
  • Intermediate Excel skills
  • Desire to continue to improve computational, statistical, behavioral and data science skills

General Physical Demands
Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally to move objects. Jobs are sedentary if traversing activities are required only occasionally.

Typical Annualized Hiring Range: $93,700 - $117,100

Annualized Salary Range: $93,700 - $152,200

Final pay will be determined with consideration of market competitiveness, internal equity, and the job-related knowledge, skills, training, and experience you bring.
