Parts Warehouse Associate

Beltway Companies, the largest heavy-duty commercial truck dealership in the state of Maryland, is hiring for a Parts Warehouse Associate out of our Halethorpe (Baltimore) location. Our Parts Warehouse Associate role is an integral part of our best-in-class customer service for our customers and dealerships.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

  • Place daily parts orders and assist the parts manager in processing weekly stock orders
  • Stock and post incoming orders, ensuring accurate inventory records
  • Notify appropriate parties when special order parts arrive and serve as backup for inventory functions
  • Update electronic parts files and provide necessary information for prompt warranty filings
  • Ensure credits are received for returned parts and follow up on discrepancies
  • Return parts as needed, ensuring removal from inventory after credit is received
  • Maintain a clean and organized parts area, and assist with annual inventory and returns
  • Assists with parts department telephone coverage
  • Assists counter people with check, insurance, and credit card processing when possible
  • Other duties as required
  • High School Diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • One to three months related experience and/or training
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Must be a team player with a strong sense of commitment to the customer
  • Must conduct his/herself in a professional manner and maintain a professional appearance
  • Strive for respect and teamwork with all departments
  • Frequently lifting and/or moving up to 20 pounds and occasionally lifting and/or moving up to 100 pounds
  • The ability to stand during the majority of an 8-hour shift
  • An energy level that will support constant movement throughout the department during the shift

  • The wage range for this role takes into account a wide range of factors including but not limited to skill sets, experience, training, and certifications. A reasonable estimate of the current range would be $20 to $22 per hour
