Position Summary
HRIS Analyst position with one to three years of experience with UKG Pro HR/payroll system, including Workforce Management (Dimensions) or Workforce Central time and attendance, or equivalent HRIS systems. Experience with writing ad hoc reports using IBM Cognos Business Intelligence or similar report writing software (e.g., BusinessObjects, Crystal Reports, Microsoft SQL, etc.). The HRIS Analyst ensures adherence to project schedules and serves as the technical point-of-contact for assigned functional areas.
The Analyst is knowledgeable in ensuring data integrity, testing, report writing and analyzing data flows for process improvement opportunities. The Analyst also supports HRMS upgrades, implementations, testing and other technical projects as assigned.
HRIS Analyst - Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: (Other duties may be assigned)- Manages HRIS projects and process improvement
- Identifies and understands issues, problems, and opportunities.
- Compare data from various sources to draw conclusions.
- Uses effective approaches for choosing a course of action or develops appropriate solutions.
- Takes action that is consistent with available facts, constraints, and probable consequences.
- Utilizes interpersonal skills when working with vendors and peers to accomplish project goals.
- Recommends process improvement, innovative solutions, policy changes and/or major variations from established policy that must be approved by appropriate leadership prior to implementation.
- Understands and uses qualitative/quantitative measurement and data collection principles.
- Performs system maintenance, including assisting in the review, testing and implementation of HRMS system upgrades. Collaborates with functional and technical staff to coordinate application of upgrade or fix. Maintains HRMS system tables, documents process and results.
- Provides production support, including researching and resolving HRMS problems, unexpected results, or process flaws; performing scheduled activities; recommending solutions or alternate methods to meet requirements.
- Generates reports, including writing, maintaining, and supporting a variety of reports or queries utilizing appropriate reporting tools. Assists in the development of standard reports for ongoing customer needs. Helps maintain data integrity in systems by running queries and analyzing data.
- Trains employees and managers on new processes and functionality. Trains new system users.
- Maintains awareness of current trends in HRMS with a focus on product and service development, delivery, and support, and applying key technologies. Examines trends in information systems training and techniques, through classes, reading or other mechanisms and continuously increases both HR and HRIS knowledge. Participates in user group meetings/conferences.
- Maintain the highest level of confidentiality on all payroll and HR systems.
- Administer system security to include creating user accounts, adding roles to users, and creating and/or maintaining current roles and workflows. Management of single sign-on and direct access accounts.
- Develop positive working relationships with software client representatives to maintain and control the outcome of tickets, work orders, customs, and new implementations. General understanding of vendor and contract management.
HRIS Analyst Qualifications:- An individual in this position will demonstrate specific knowledge in a variety of the field’s concepts to include, but not limited to, data management, understanding of database construction, benefits, compensation, human resources, and payroll.
HRIS Analyst Education and/or Experience: - High school diploma or general education degree (GED), College bachelor’s degree preferred in a related area; one – three years of experience and/or training in the field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
