Platforms Manager: Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn

The Biden for President campaign (BFP) is in search of a highly skilled Platforms Manager to lead our efforts in leveraging our Principals’ voices, amplifying our core messages, and creating community on Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn. As the Platforms Manager you will play a critical role in shaping and executing the strategy for Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn feed functionalities, with a focus on maximizing engagement and growth through algorithm-driven content. Reporting directly to the Director of Digital Platforms, you will lead efforts to amplify President Biden’s voice and values, engage diverse audiences, and drive meaningful interactions on these platforms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy for the campaign’s presence on Facebook and Instagram feeds that aligns with overall campaign objectives and President Biden’s messaging.
  • Oversee the campaign's Facebook and Instagram channels, including content scheduling, metadata optimization, and audience engagement strategies to maximize reach and impact.
  • Leverage algorithm-driven content strategies to maximize visibility and engagement.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Digital Platforms, the Digital Rapid Response team, Video Teams, social media managers, graphic designers, and other cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and consistency across platforms.
  • Work closely with content creators, graphic designers, and video teams to distribute compelling and visually appealing content tailored for Facebook and Instagram feeds while ensuring consistency with the campaign’s branding and messaging.
  • Drafting and copy editing social media plans – previous experience managing high-profile social accounts is highly necessary. 
  • Drive engagement efforts by fostering meaningful interactions with supporters, responding to comments and messages, and leveraging Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn features such as Articles, Groups, DMs, polls, Q&A sessions, and livestreams.
  • Implement strategies to grow the campaign’s following and increase reach, including strategic partnerships and cross-platform promotion.
  • Monitor and analyze key metrics on Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn feeds, such as engagement rate, reach, shares, and follower growth, to assess the effectiveness of strategies and identify areas for growth.
  • Stay on top of emerging trends, best practices, and new features on Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn, and proactively integrate them into the campaign’s strategy.
  • Create weekly data-driven reports that highlight key learnings and growth opportunities across the platforms and communicate those learnings to internal stakeholders. 


Preferred Skills & Qualifications
  • Four to six years of experience in social media management, with a focus on Facebook Instagram and LinkedIn strategy, preferably in a political or advocacy setting.
  • Strong creative skills with the ability to ideate and execute engaging social content ideas for Facebook and Instagram feeds with an Audience first mentality. 
  • A strategic mindset with the ability to develop and execute data-driven strategies to achieve campaign objectives.
  • Strong background in social media scheduling and analytics tools with the ability to interpret large chunks of data to inform decision-making and optimize performance.
  • Knowledge in video production, editing, and optimization for online platforms, with a strong understanding of storytelling techniques and visual communication principles.
  • Attention to detail is a must, with a sharp eye for catching typos and ensuring accuracy in digital content creation and management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey the campaign’s message and engage with supporters on Facebook and Instagram.
  • A collaborative spirit with the ability to work effectively as part of a team and contribute to a positive work environment.
  • A passion for politics and enthusiasm about working to reelect President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris.

$65,000 - $85,000 a year
