Security Analyst

The Biden For President Campaign is seeking Security Analysts to protect the campaign's digital assets from unauthorized access by identifying, assessing and reporting security risks. Security Analysts will work on the the Security team which is responsible for ensuring consistent evaluation and improvement of our cybersecurity posture across the organization and the broader ecosystem. More broadly, the IT & Security department is responsible for standing up and maintaining a robust technology infrastructure while safeguarding our valuable information assets.  We are looking for candidates with a variety of backgrounds and experience, and are dedicated to building a team that looks like America.


Key Responsibilities
  • Monitoring - Monitoring networks, systems, and applications for vulnerabilities and indications of compromise. Utilize network traffic, activity logs, and system alerts for potential security breaches
  • Protecting - Supporting the IT teams in identifying and deploying effective security controls like firewalls and encryption standards to guard against cyber threats. Analyzing and verifying the security of third-party vendors and collaborating with them to ensure that they meet our security requirements
  • Reporting - Preparing reports and audits for IT & Security leadership that document metrics, attempted attacks and evaluate the efficacy of security policies
  • Mitigating - Developing scripts, tools, and procedures to automate scans and assessments, and finding and mitigating risks proactively
  • Responding - Analyzing incidents to identify root causes and continuously looking for areas of improvement in security controls, policies and procedures.


Preferred Skills & Qualifications
  • 1-2 years in IT/Information Security
  • Experience triaging and responding to security related alerts
  • Understanding of security incident and event monitoring tools and procedures
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Customer-oriented and patient


$80,000 - $90,000 a year
