Join Biffa Waste Services as a Development Manager - Landfill & Gas where your expertise in landfill gas (LFG) and leachate systems will be invaluable. This remote position, with occasional UK travel, calls for an innovative professional eager to oversee and enhance LFG infrastructure while optimizing leachate systems across regional sites. You will collaborate with senior management to install and improve LFG collection systems, ensuring we not only meet but exceed business performance and profitability targets. Your role involves maximizing electricity generation by utilizing strategic generator relocations and managing regional business plans and capital budgets to maintain cost-effectiveness. You'll also be integral in improving site performance through efficient leachate system management and overseeing contractor compliance with Biffa's standards. Continuous improvement is key here; you’ll implement updates to our infrastructure plans while adhering to stringent environmental, health, and safety standards. With your understanding of regulatory compliance, especially DSEAR, you’ll ensure all installations meet essential legal requirements. Reporting directly to the General Manager, you’ll handle both short- and long-term projects, addressing urgent issues as they arise.
