As a Senior Data Engineer at Big Health, you will be a critical member of our Engineering team and develop data systems for the digital therapeutics (DTx)  platform. You will have the opportunity to influence technology decisions and systems as we optimize the product and scale our digital therapeutics platform.


Job Responsibilities:
  • Design, build, and monitor data pipelines that collect, process, and store data from various sources, user behavioral analytics, databases, and third party vendors
  • Identify opportunities and implement automation, data management tools, and frameworks to enhance efficiency and productivity
  • Optimize and manage data flows and integrations across various platforms and applications
  • Work extensively with large-scale event-level data, aggregating and processing it to support business intelligence and analytics
  • Collaborate with product managers, data analysts and engineers to define requirements and data specifications that drive customer engagement and retention


Required Skills and Experience:
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering, cloud data warehouses, and ETL development, preferably in a customer-facing environment
  • Strong understanding of cloud-based columnar databases (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery), with hands-on expertise in relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL)
  • Expert knowledge in writing complex pySpark, SQL, dbt and ETL development with experience processing extremely large datasets.
  • Strong Python programming abilities with experience in Docker
  • Understanding of data security and privacy principles, as well as regulatory compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, CCPA)

$145,000 - $190,000 a year
Please note that the compensation details listed in US role postings reflect the base salary only, and do not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Additional compensation may include benefits, variable pay, discretionary bonuses and equity.

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. The pay scale is subject to change depending on business needs.
