KAYAK is seeking a proactive Billing Specialist to join our Finance Team. We are a group of highly motivated, professional individuals who love numbers, controls and compliance. You are detail oriented, highly organized and have experience in Finance Operations. You enjoy working independently but know the value of teamwork and collaboration. You are eager to have a crucial role serving various internal stakeholders and customers.

In this role, you will:

• Execute global billing of commercial contracts with high standards and as per agreements with customers
• Provide an excellent customer service to our partners by ensuring invoices are issued correctly and timely and by resolving issues and queries in a timely manner
• Support the month end close process through various tasks and analysis e.g. revenue estimation process, true up and GAP analysis in revenue
• Participate in SOX review of contracts
• Peer review of invoices to ensure correctness
• Coordinate and submit write-offs for approval
• Participate in development projects related to systems and processes
• Ad-hoc requests for any analysis, reports or inquiries that may be needed
• Support audits

• Degree in Finance/Economics/Accounting
• 2-5 years in Finance Operations; Accounting exposure is a plus
• Outstanding excel skills is a must
• Flexibility needed working with departments in multiple time zones
• Ability and willingness to quickly absorb new information and understand our business
• Outstanding social skills, both verbal and written, including the ability to communicate confidently and professionally at all levels within the organization
• Solution focused and hands-on with the ability to prioritize and deliver multiple tasks in order to meet conflicting timelines
• Strives for excellent business support and accepts change with an open and honest approach to communication
• Enjoys collaborating with people and used to working with people in different time zones
• Curiosity about ERP and data flow between different systems
• Pro-active approach to problem solving, ability to work independently and self-motivated
• Experience using Salesforce and NetSuite a plus
• Experience with SOX a plus
