Business Development Representative

About this role:

Groq is seeking self-motivated, high energy and intelligent Business Development Representative candidates to help us continue building the company. Read on for more details!

Responsibilities & opportunities in this role:

As a Business Development Representative in the VERTS, you'll be aligned with the sales organization responsible for new markets and prospecting in verticals focused on: Financial Services Federal Enterprise Communications Oil & gas.

Ideal candidates have/are:

  • Will generate new business pipelines through prospecting outbound opportunities
  • Garner interest in Groq partnering through outbound cold-calling
  • Partner closely with the sales organization to identify and source net new pipeline that leads to closed revenue and quota attainment
  • Discover business initiatives and acting as their internal advocate
  • Build a point of view with Sales & Marketing organization on how to help qualify customers needs
  • Speak to value and return on investment vs. technical functionality
  • Establish credibility and trust with internal and external partners
  • Learn how to anticipate, prepare for and overcome objections
  • Demonstrate adaptability, flexibility and resourcefulness as part of an ever-growing sales organization
  • Manage a high volume of accounts that require a strategy on prioritization and time-management
  • Research and understand varying lines of business and partners
  • Ability to work closely with cross functional teams to communicate customer needs and help sales organizations implement direct sales strategies and programs.

Qualifications for this role:

  • 2 + years of professional sales experience with at least one year dedicated to outbound
  • Experience prospecting and cold-calling into a large list of accounts that are a hybrid of net new and install
  • Proven achievement of year over year quota attainment in new revenue
  • Bachelor's degree required; technical or business-related field preferred Highly valued, not required:
  • Some startup experience desired
  • Proficiency with Salesforce, Google Suite, and Microsoft Office
  • Understanding of High Performance Computing, Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence
