About This Role:

As the Manager, Infrastructure Engineering, you will oversee and guide the efforts of our SRE, DevOps, and Platform Engineering teams. You will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable, secure, and resilient infrastructure solutions that support our fast-paced product development and business growth. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and leadership skills, as you’ll collaborate with multiple stakeholders—from software engineers to business leaders—to ensure high availability, developer productivity, and operational excellence.

Core Responsibilities:  

  • Technical Leadership

    • Define and drive the overall infrastructure strategy, aligning with business objectives and growth plans.

    • Provide technical mentorship to engineers across SRE, DevOps, and Platform Engineering domains.

  • Reliability & Scalability

    • Oversee site reliability initiatives to meet or exceed service-level objectives (SLOs) and maintain robust monitoring systems for detecting issues early.

    • Collaborate with the SRE team to implement best practices in observability, incident response, and high-availability architectures.

  • DevOps & Automation

    • Guide DevOps engineers in designing and maintaining efficient CI/CD pipelines and release processes.

    • Champion infrastructure-as-code (IaC) practices to ensure consistency, auditability, and rapid provisioning of resources.

  • Platform Engineering

    • Lead the development of internal developer platforms (IDPs) that provide self-service capabilities for development teams, improving their productivity and autonomy.

    • Work with the Platform Engineering team to automate developer workflows, standardize environments, and manage cloud infrastructure provisioning.

  • Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity

    • Collaborate with SREs and Platform Engineers to develop and maintain disaster recovery (DR) plans, including backup processes and failover mechanisms.

    • Ensure DR strategies align with business continuity needs and compliance requirements.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration

    • Partner with Product, Security, and other engineering teams to ensure infrastructure meets performance, security, and compliance standards.

    • Communicate clearly with executives and stakeholders regarding infrastructure roadmaps, project updates, and potential risks.

  • Team Development & Management

    • Recruit, hire, and retain top engineering talent to build a high-performing Infrastructure organization.

    • Foster a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and innovation, providing regular feedback and growth opportunities.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; or equivalent work experience.

  • 8+ years of hands-on experience in Infrastructure, DevOps, SRE, or related domains.

  • 2+ years of experience in a leadership or managerial capacity.

  • Cloud Platforms: Expertise with at least one major cloud provider (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).

  • Container Orchestration: Strong understanding of Kubernetes and containerization best practices.

  • IaC & Configuration Management: Hands-on experience with tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or equivalent.

  • Monitoring & Observability: Familiarity with Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or equivalent tooling.

  • CI/CD Tools: Experience with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar pipelines.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to translate technical requirements into business language for stakeholders.

  • Proven track record of leading teams, mentoring engineers, and fostering an inclusive, high-performance culture.

  • Ability to drive consensus and alignment across multiple teams while meeting reliability, efficiency, and productivity goals.

Salary: 

The starting pay for this role is USD$220,000 - USD$250,000 per year for all U.S. remote locations. The actual base pay will vary, and is dependent upon many factors, such as transferable skill sets, work experience, business needs, and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change.
