What You'll Do: 

Blackpoint is looking for a Software Engineer - Front End to join our core product engineering team. Focused on designing, developing, and maintaining cloud-based, state-of-the-art solutions on top of our customers’ ever-evolving landscape of infrastructure in a scalable way. As a Software Engineer - Front End on the team, you will have the opportunity to be part of implementing and maintaining a highly scalable, highly reliable cloud-native user interface and underlying microservices which utilize modern technologies and programming languages. 

Responsibilities 

• Be responsible for delivering on business-critical outcomes through your product contributions to our cybersecurity platform, building world-class user experiences that delight all our Blackpoint customers and owning those experiences end-to-end.   

• Contribute to projects across the stack, with a focus on the front-end UI built in Typescript and React, while also working with backend components such as Node.js services hosted on Kubernetes. 

• Apply your understanding of front-end architecture and design patterns, ensuring performance, scalability, and resilience across the product. 

• Excel as a team player by recognizing the importance of diverse perspectives and managing expectations and needs across numerous cross-functional groups. This includes taking on the role of mentoring other engineers, leading them in complex, multi-person projects.   

• Communicate effectively with leadership to define technical solutions, aligning them with high-level business objectives and providing clear progress updates. 

Requirements 

• 52 years of front-end development experience, with enterprise-level expertise and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. 

• Experience in front-end frameworks, particularly React, Apollo, GraphQL and Typescript, with experience optimizing performance for large-scale applications. 

• Familiarity with component libraries and design systems, such as Material-UI, Ant Design, or building custom reusable components from scratch. 

• Experience with performance optimization techniques in React applications, such as code-splitting, lazy loading, and tree-shaking to improve load times and user experience. 

• Proficiency in testing frameworks and tools like Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, or Storybook to ensure robust, maintainable front-end code. 

• Familiarity with backend technologies such as Node.js, Nest.js, with a willingness to contribute to full-stack development as needed. 

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI), automating the deployment and scaling of services across environments. 

• Experience in cloud-native technologies such as AWS Lambda, with hands-on experience ensuring proper monitoring and alerting using Prometheus and Grafana to maintain system performance and health. 

• Proficiency in working with containerized microservices architecture, particularly using Kubernetes. 

• A strong sense of ownership and accountability for the behavior of your software in production environments. 

• Proven experience in leading and mentoring junior developers, particularly in designing, implementing, and executing complex technical projects. 

• Familiarity and enthusiasm for working in an Agile development environment, collaborating within and across teams. 

• Demonstrated ability to work independently and in teams, with leadership skills to drive projects forward when necessary. 

• A commitment to continuous learning, staying up to date with new technologies and industry best practices. 

• B.S. degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience. 

Nice to have: 

• Familiarity with developing core libraries, infrastructure components, and search engines to support large-scale applications. 

• Experience in database performance tuning, schema design, and indexing of large databases in a distributed microservices architecture. 

• Experience with server side rendering frameworks such as Next.js
