This role is part of Blue Origin corporate functions... providing centralized support across Blue Origin business unit teams and locations.
As a member of the team, you will be responsible for working closely with the Talent Acquisition team in order to gain valuable exposure and make contributions to various aspects of the recruitment process. This will allow you to gain real-world insight into recruitment practices outside the military. You will also collaborate with the team to actively participate in sourcing, candidate assessment, and selection, which will give you an opportunity to learn the intricacies of talent acquisition in a corporate setting. In addition, you will assist in identifying and evaluating talent acquisition opportunities, communicate and promote the value proposition to prospective candidates, and understand the dynamics of recruitment in the private sector. Furthermore, you will be expected to contribute to the development and execution of innovative talent acquisition strategies and solutions tailored to the unique demands and objectives of the aerospace industry. Engaging with mentors and senior team members will provide insights into long-term recruitment goals, giving you a comprehensive understanding of talent acquisition best practices and strategies within a corporate environment. Participating in special projects as directed by leadership will require presenting high-quality deliverables that demonstrate the application and impact of talent acquisition initiatives in a corporate setting.
Minimum Qualifications
• Must be within 180 days of separation or retirement from any branch of the U.S. Armed Forces, with confirmation of eligibility to participate in the DoD SkillBridge program.
• On track to receive an Honorable Discharge and must have participated in service TAPS/TGPS and an ethics brief within the last 12 months.
• Must be within commuting distance (within 50 miles) of the following Blue Origin sites: Renton, WA, Huntsville, AL, Merritt Island or Melbourne, FL, or Denver, CO
Desired Qualifications
• Previous experience in project management, with a track record of engaging with clients and delivering impactful work products, reports, and other key deliverables.
• Proficiency in oral and written communication, demonstrating the ability to create and refine technical and non-technical written work products alongside graphical presentations.
• Exceptional attention to detail, equipped with the capability to analyze complex problems from multiple perspectives and devise innovative solutions.
• Proven ability to swiftly synthesize information and proactively acquire new skills in a dynamic and learning-centric environment.
• Prior military recruiting experience, HR-related roles, OSINT intelligence, or other relevant Military Occupational Specialties (MOS) and disciplines.
The completion of this internship will equip the service member with the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to pursue a career in talent acquisition and related fields, along with a comprehensive knowledge of processes and procedures, in a commercial talent acquisition environment.
