POSITION SUMMARY
The Learning Experience Designer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining training to drive key strategic business initiatives, initially focusing on technical training development.
The position requires the candidate to utilize digital development and instructional design concepts and skills to meet the requirements of the adult learner online, with a live instructor virtually, and in a classroom setting. Training will be developed and maintained using a variety of formats.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for adult learning, technology, and design and a desire to work in a team-focused creative environment.
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Apply principles of adult learning and training best practices to create effective and innovative training design solutions
Design and develop engaging, informative, and visually compelling in-person and virtual learning experiences
Engage and collaborate with stakeholders and SMEs needed to identify business needs, performance goals, and gaps
Ability to prioritize multiple overlapping projects and responsibilities.
Adapt quickly as business priorities and learning needs evolve
Utilize technology to improve quality and access to training for a highly dispersed team member population
Evaluates and assess the instructional effectiveness and business impact of programs and support the continuous improvement of learning solutions
Monitor and analyze training metrics/data/trends, and identify areas needing attention to enhance learning effectiveness
Stay ahead of trends and best practices to improve performance and engage today’s learners, incorporating innovative solutions into the content design and development recommendations
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design or Instructional Technology
2+ years’ experience in Learning + Development function
Experience in InDesign, XML/HTML, SharePoint, SuccessFactors, Camtasia and Articulate 360
Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and OneNote
Ability to approach training initiatives with creativity and flexibility
