The Arden campus offers a multitude of career opportunities and is in the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina.This position will direct, manage and coordinate the General and Cost Accounting activities and the financial reporting function for the Arden Plant in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and BorgWarner Financial Policies and Procedure. This position will provide guidance to Leadership to optimize the financial operating results for the Arden Plant.Key responsibilities• Oversee and manage financial reporting and accounting functions at the Arden plant. Accountable for timely and accurate month-end closing, forecasting, quoting, working capital, and fixed asset management.• Ensure that all accounts are in balance and correct according to generally accepted accounting principles, including SOX and BorgWarner guidelines.• Provide early warning on all business trends that affect the performance of the plant including P&L, balance sheet, and operational issues, while identifying probable causes and solutions.• Establish and maintain an adequate and effective internal control structure and procedures for financial reporting.• Prepare monthly forecasts for corporate reporting and budget control.• Coordinate the annual budget and long-range planning (LRP) process in a participative and strategic fashion that stretches the plant to optimal achievement.• Develop strong collaborative relationships within the plant and across business unit and corporate global strength functions to drive operational financial performance.• Establish Key Performance Indicators to track continuous improvements• Effectively manage, evaluate, monitor and develop employees to drive maximum operational performance and further employee career advancement.• Ensure all systems provide accurate, timely, and meaningful data for management action and decision making.• Other duties as assignedWhat we’re looking for• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent discipline required; MBA preferred• Prior experience with SAP a plus• CPA or CMA a plus• 8 plus years of experience with increasing responsibility in a manufacturing environment• 5 years of managerial experience; strong coaching skills are required• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)• Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision making skills• Must be able to work in a team environment.• Must be able to follow instructions, safety rules and regulations.What we believe• Inclusion: Respecting Individuals• Integrity: Honoring truth• Excellence: Focusing on results• Responsibility: Our commitment• Collaboration: Building trustSafetyThis position will adhere to the BorgWarner Environmental Health and Safety Program by following all safety rules, procedures, practices, training, and safe use of equipment; this includes use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
