Lead Cloud Engineer - Azure

Role Summary: As a Lead Azure Cloud Engineer at Bounteous x Accolite, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud-based solutions to drive the digital transformation initiatives of our clients. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud infrastructures.


Information Security Responsibilities
  • Awareness on information security measures such as acceptable use of information assets, malware protection, password security
  • Understand and report security risks and how they impact the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information assets
  • Understand how data is stored, processed, or transmitted from a Data privacy and protection standpoint


Key Responsibilities:
  • 1. Azure Landing Zones:
  • Design and deploy Azure environments following best practices.
  • Ensure environments are scalable, secure, and meet governance standards.
  • Create templates and blueprints for consistent deployments.
  • 2. Account Management:
  • Manage and organize Azure subscriptions and resource groups.
  • Implement cost management policies and monitor budgets.
  • Configure and maintain Azure tenant settings.
  • 3. Access Management:
  • Implement and manage role-based access control (RBAC) strategies.
  • Integrate Azure Active Directory with on-premises Active Directory. (This is not mandatory, but there are chances for the client to expect in case of SSO integration)
  • Ensure secure identity and access management practices.
  • 4. Security and Compliance:
  • Implement security controls to protect Azure resources.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations.
  • Conduct regular security assessments and respond to incidents.
  • 5. Infrastructure Management:
  • Design and deploy Azure Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS) solutions.
  • Monitor and optimize the performance and health of Azure infrastructure.
  • Implement backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans.
  • 6. Automation:
  • Automate infrastructure deployments using tools such as Azure DevOps, ARM templates, and Terraform.
  • Develop scripts and automation workflows to streamline operations.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in cloud engineering or similar roles, with significant expertise in Azure.
  • Strong understanding of Azure cloud security, networking, and cost management.
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Strong experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins and GitLab.
  • Knowledge of DevTools such as SonarQube for code quality and Artifactory for artifact management.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong communication skills to interact with clients and internal teams.


Preferred Skills:
  • Azure certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
  • Experience with serverless architectures and microservices.
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools.
  • Familiarity with data engineering and analytics services in the cloud.
