Job Summary: Manage and oversee project operations in collaboration with the Project Manager or General Superintendent, ensuring all aspects of the project are executed effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze project documents and collaborate with the team to ensure a comprehensive understanding before commencement.
Engage in project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation with the Project Manager.
Oversee subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring timely submission of project-related materials and documents.
Address project changes promptly and manage change orders in coordination with the Project Manager.
Ensure safety and quality standards are upheld on-site, maintaining proper documentation and conducting regular safety meetings.
Monitor project costs and progress, reporting any discrepancies to the Project Manager.
Handle utility conflicts, yard locations, and permits as needed.
Maintain daily records of project activities and manage the completion of as-built plans.
Supervise the workforce, including hiring and termination decisions, following proper procedures.
Qualifications:
General knowledge across various construction disciplines.
Comprehensive understanding of construction technology, equipment, methods, engineering, cost control, schedules, and safety.
Proficiency in design and construction documentation.
Clean driver’s license: bilingual abilities are a plus.
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Construction or Civil Engineering.
Minimum of eight years in construction management or supervision.
Equivalent experience and training that meet job requirements may be considered.
