Position: Brand & Donor Development Specialist
Location: Minneapolis, MN

Our mission at ISRG is to reduce financial, technological, and educational barriers to secure communication over the Internet. We're looking for an additional member for our Brand and Donor Development team. Maybe that's you!

We are looking for someone who is excited to understand the work that we do and help us convey the impact to our relatively technical community. ISRG is a small and engineering-driven organization, so your work will be closely aligned with our engineering priorities. You will report to the VP and join a team of two other people.

Our team does a variety of activities that support our communications and fundraising, including:

• Manage a portfolio of nearly 90 corporate sponsors.
• Actively seek and cultivate new sponsors.
• Avidly record information in our Salesforce CRM.
• Identify opportunities, apply, and manage reporting cycles for grants.
• Maintain and build relationships with the many individuals and companies who use our services.
• Share useful and compelling news to our community through newsletters, and individual communications.
• Process technical requests for large users of our service.
• Organize and execute giving campaigns throughout the year from idea generation to gift fulfillment.
• Perform basic website updates.
• Manage website translations through our translation platform, Crowdin.

Position Must Haves:

• 4+ years of nonprofit fundraising experience.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Meticulousness in data management.
• A curiosity about how ISRG projects work technically.
• Ambition to help us grow and evolve by creating more financial resources.
• Ability to understand how to translate relationship building activities into donation or sponsorship solicitation.
• Creative thinking and the ability to create the structure needed to make new ideas successful.
• A mindset oriented toward efficiency and the elimination of daily "toil."
• Openness to asking questions or asking for help as appropriate.

Here are some things we'll help you learn on the job if you don't know them already:

• How we manage data in our Salesforce CRM.
• G Suite tools (e.g. Google Drive, Docs, Sheets).
• Jira, the platform we use for planning, managing and tracking projects.
• Management of community-submitted website translations through Crowdin/GitHub.

Location and Benefits

This job will be located in the Minneapolis MN metro region, but you will work remotely in a home office. Our team has always been entirely remote and our processes and infrastructure are built around that. We will help you get your home office in good shape, including reimbursing internet and phone expenses. Our team frequently meets in person at various locations, so you will need to have access to transportation.
