Job Posting Title Brand Experience Specialist - Marketing & Communications
Job Description Summary The Brand Experience Specialist owns the planning and execution of all global internal and external events for #TeamAAM, including trade shows, industry events, meetings/conferences and special occasions. This includes creating and managing a global show strategy and calendar of events to promote AAM and its products, technology leadership, quality and operational excellence. In addition to global events, the Leader also owns all global branding efforts, including ensuring AAM’s 80+ locations around the world are following all brand standards set forth by the company.
The position works cross-functionally within #TeamAAM for both the planning and execution of events—including but not limited to CES, Ride & Drive events, and other global trade shows. The position requires an outgoing, detail-oriented individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, who can take charge of new responsibilities of the position and is able to quickly adapt to changes in priorities. This position is part of our Detroit-based MarComm team, who act as the “agency” for AAM’s internal customers. We also have a lot of fun. Because if you’re not having fun, you’re doing it wrong.
Job Description
Primary responsibilities:
Creates and manages AAM’s global events calendar, including pre-show planning, show management requirements, travel and staff housing arrangements, event shipping logistics, show exhibitor orders and diagrams, info packets for staff and security, and other event planning roles as needed to ensure event success; this is inclusive of internal and external events
Assist with all sponsorship contracting and fulfillment processes
Liaison and manage AAM’s exhibit house vendor relationship
Create and manage AAM’s global display inventory, including show properties, products and digital displays
Manage and maintain AAM’s online and in-store Shoppe inventory, which includes branded merchandise, promo items, printed materials and other AAM swag
Promote and enforce AAM’s global brand guidelines for facility branding for AAM’s 80+ facilities
Requirements
Excellent oral and written communication skills are required as this is a high visibility position, interacting with multiple departments and all levels of associates, including senior management.
Organized, creative and innovative Customer service mindset.
Able to work on own initiative as well as part of a team.
A quick learner, self-starter and ability to prioritize tasks and timelines.
Required Skills and Education
Experience
Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business or hospitality
3+ years experience producing various sized trade shows, meetings and events in a professional environment
Strong project management skills.
Computer proficiency and experience with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.).
Travel is required as part of this role to support onsite events, as needed. Includes domestic and international.
