Our mission is to capitalize on the vast, untapped opportunities to transform for good while driving outsized financial returns.The FellowshipWe are looking for a full-time, paid Fellow to join our Financial Services & Insurance unit for a 6-month remote contract (based in the US). Top performers may have the chance to join the portfolio company they help build as a founding team member, receiving seed-stage equity, or continue with Braven to incubate new companies. You’ll report directly to our Managing Partner, William Abecassis, former founder of BlackRock's $1B+ venture group.Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Fellow, you will lead and drive our Innovation Programs, the core pipeline for our investments and incubations. These programs explore the use of technology to innovate within Finance, Banking, Insurance, and Capital Markets. You will collaborate with senior partners, other Fellows, advisors, and founding teams.Your days will include:• Planning and executing "Innovation Programs," involving research, analysis, and synthesis through Opportunity Exploration, Solution Design, and Cobuilding Development.• Producing insights in various formats, such as investment memos, business plans, white papers, and social media posts.• Supporting investments as part of Braven's "cobuild" team, which acts as internal consultants to enhance portfolio companies' strategies.Note: Due to Braven’s unique investment model, this role does not involve traditional deal sourcing typical of mainstream venture firms.Experience and SkillsBackground: Minimum of two years in client-facing strategy consulting roles, especially in Financial Services, Banking, Capital Markets, or Insurance. Experience at top firms (e.g., Bain, McKinsey, BCG) preferred but not required.Previous Fellows: Typically possess 5-15 years of professional experience, but candidates outside this range are still encouraged to apply.Market Knowledge: Strong understanding of regulated markets in Financial Services, Banking, Capital Markets, and/or Insurance. Ability to conduct research and quickly grasp new concepts.Analytical Skills: Proven track record of high performance through data gathering, analysis, hypothesis testing, and clear communication of recommendations.Attributes for Success:• Structured approach to ambiguity, project management, and results-driven work.• Systems thinking and data analysis to achieve 10x results.• Growth mindset, innate curiosity, and creative problem-solving skills.• Strong communications abilities to translate complex topics for varied audiences.• High EQ, relationship-building skills, and effective operation under pressure.Advantages of Working at BravenBraven is engineered to co-build companies addressing the most significant opportunities of the next few decades.
