Junior Associate Designer: Women's Knits and Sweaters

Buck Mason is looking for a Junior Associate Designer for Women's Knits & Sweaters with a strong design and fit experience and a high taste level. The ideal candidate is a driven creative and is obsessed with design, fit, and product quality.


Responsibilities:
  • Create all sketches, details, and technical packages for seasonal designs
  • Conduct product, color, fit, and fabric research for seasonal concepts pertaining to wovens
  • Create flat digital sketches for presentation boards and tech packs
  • Attend fittings with Senior Designer, Design Director with tech design and updates, styles, and tech packs
  • Approve fabric samples, lab dips, strike-offs and other development material
  • Reports to Women’s Senior Designer for Cut & Sew Knits and Sweaters


Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of applicable women’s knit's & sweaters experience 
  • High taste level is a must - Buck Mason aesthetic should align with personal taste
  • Strong knowledge of the Women’s wear market and Designers
  • In-depth knowledge of vintage, military, and workwear styling
  • Must have excellent working knowledge of Adobe Suite and Excel
  • Strong knowledge of CAD sketching 
  • Must be a team player and have the ability to manage multiple projects with strict deadlines and take initiative
  • Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize workload 
  • Highly motivated and hardworking
  • Clear communicator with emotional intelligence
  • Must be a detail oriented individual and a strong self-starter
  • Strong knowledge of garment construction, wash processing, and knitting


$70,000 - $80,000 a year
