Budget Team Coordinator for the Provost Office Budget Team
The George Mason University Office of the Provost is looking for a remote, part-time (20-30 hours per week) Budget Team Coordinator to support the Provost Office Budget team with day-to-day budget and finance operations. The Office of the Provost provides leadership and guidance to support and achieve the academic mission of the university. Responsibilities:
- Generate monthly reconciliation reports for departments as needed;
- Support the maintenance of financial documentation as required;
- Serve as back-up to Business Operations Specialist;
- Assist with the production, routing, and tracking of financial forms;
- Assist with gathering documentation for financial reconciliation;
- Assist departments in solving expense discrepancies or billing issues;
- Process requests for procurement and personnel;
- Submit requests for student stipends and tuition waivers; and
- Complete other tasks as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma/GED;
- Willingness to learn with the ability to manage multiple priorities;
- Demonstrated listening and comprehension skills;
- Demonstrated organizational skills with an ability to manage information from multiple sources;
- Demonstrated attention to detail;
- Intermediate to advance MS Office skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams;
- Basic experience using Adobe for editing documents;
- Ability to follow and interpret rules and policies;
- Ability to maintain harmonious working relationships with a population of diverse individuals; and
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Ellucian Banner and MicroStrategy;
- Experience creating and manipulating Adobe Acrobat pdf files; and
- Experience working on a hybrid team.
