Job Summary

The Built4Life Student Athlete Center (B4LSAC) office manager will assist the B4LSAC Director (Senior Associate Athletic Director – Student Athlete Ecosystem) in all aspects and operations of the B4LSAC at Brigham Young University. This includes but is not limited to overseeing all office and administrative functions for the center, assisting with student employees, collaborating with other Athletic Department units, and other duties as assigned.

What You’d Be Responsible For

  • Oversee administrative/office functions for the Built4Life Student Athlete Center (B4LSAC)
    • Work closely with the B4LSAC’s various directors in relation to events and programs, including assisting with scheduling, setup, advertising, execution, and cleanup of the events and programs
    • Maintain and coordinate the calendar for the B4LSAC
    • Assist Senior Associate Athletic Director with B4LSAC calendar, budget, and reports
    • Assist the Director of DEIB with NCAA report compilation and annual DEIB demographics reports
    • Assist directors with updating and maintaining Pronto contact lists
    • Assist sport psychologists with intake procedures and scheduling
    • Maintain office supplies for the entire B4LSAC
    • Set-up up and oversee Study Hall Tracker during the Fall and Winter semesters
    • Assist Evening Study Hall Supervisor with scheduling of classroom spaces for events, tutoring, mentor meetings and content reviews, including assisting with text reminders for evening content reviews
    • Take notes during B4LSAC staff and Sr. Leadership meetings
    • Oversee creation of class lists each semester and term
    • Handle all financial transactions including purchases, reimbursements, and travel using Chrome River or other BYU system program
    • Help foster an environment that is warm and welcoming by greeting all student-athletes by name as well as any visitor entering the B4LSAC and directing them to their destinations
    • Maintain the front desk and answer the Center’s main phone line, take messages, and direct calls to the appropriate person
    • Assist with maintaining the B4LSAC website
    • Assist with Cougar Built program scheduling
    • General office duties as stipulated by B4LSAC Director
  • Assist with student employment
    • Hire, train, and monitor student employee front desk staff (1-2 students)
    • Monitor time sheets for all student employees
  • Collaborate and connect with other Athletic Department units
    • Communicate with the appropriate administrative executive assistant for the purposes of scheduling, and/or disseminating information from the athletic department concerning event details and/or procedures, policies, etc.
    • Attend department/sport secretary meetings
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned by the Senior Associate Athletic Director

What Qualifies You to Apply?

Required: High school diploma

Preferred: Bachelor’s degree and 1-2 years of related experience

Employee Class: Staff (Full-Time)

Work Location: Provo Campus

Environment: General office or other equivalently good environment
