Develops technical solutions to problems while defining, documenting, and analyzing processes and procedures. Supports the development and maintenance of student administrative systems for the Division of Enrollment Management and Student Success (EMSS). Responsible for areas of program or systems design and analysis, project coordination, system, and technical problem solving. Develops, modifies, and maintains existing EMSS systems and applications. Serves as lead technical person in a system specific area. Develops and conducts training sessions. Performs other functionally related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferably in computer science, information technology, business, or related fields.
- Four (4) years of experience in system support and analysis using enterprise-level administrative systems.
- Three (3) years of experience working with report development tools and developing code in relational databases and SQL programming.
- Experience with business systems including client server and web-based systems Windows based operating systems and SQL query development.
- Ability to work flexible hours as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in computer science, information systems, business, or related fields.
- Experience with enterprise-level student administration system, i.e., PeopleSoft, CRM, and application administration system, i.e., SLATE, document management system, i.e., OnBase, student success platform, i.e., Starfish.
- Experience with enrollment management and student success functions, i.e., admission, records, financial aid, student support.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
- General knowledge of higher education systems and practices.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain a high degree of professionalism in dealing with user areas by promoting a friendly, cooperative attitude in addressing their information needs.
- Ability to organize and maintain large scale projects supporting enrollment management.
- Ability to perform effective knowledge transfer and training.
- Ability to develop and remain current with the knowledge and skills required to perform technical tasks related to enrollment management departments.
- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, Teams, and PowerPoint.
