About the Job

Dawn Foods is looking for a talented Business Analyst as an essential hire in Dawn’s digital transformation. Dawn is a leading global bakery manufacturing and distribution company with 100 years of history at the beginning of its digital journey.


With a Digital Innovation Hub team staffed with talent from leading eCommerce firms like Blueport Commerce, BJ's, Keurig, Staples, Wayfair and Vista, this role will work with the mandate to drive Dawn's external digital capabilities and to transform the overall business model while leveraging its rich heritage. It will be a journey. And you could be one of the charter members with a strong voice around how we work and what outcomes we drive. You will have a wide influence shaping our strategic priorities and overall customer experience.


In this role you will have a direct and tangible impact on our Digital processes, our company, and our customers. The chosen candidate will develop and manage business-performance analysis, reporting, and lead internal collaboration to support new ways of working for hundreds of internal team resources across multiple functions.


What Does It Take to be a Business Analyst at Dawn Foods?

Below are the minimum qualifications to be a fit for this job.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Mathematics, Finance, Consulting, Analytics or other relevant field of study
  • 4+ years of experience conducting sophisticated and creative analysis of complex data and translating results into actionable deliverables, messages, and presentations.
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills
  • Exhibit sound business judgement, a proven ability to influence others, strong analytical skills, and proven track record of taking ownership leading data-driven analyses and influencing results.
  • Analytical and conceptual thinking and presentation skills; developing models and data analytics then effectively communicating insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management.
  • Eliciting requirements, gathering critical information from meetings with various stakeholders
  • Professionally courageous and comfortable with collaborating, influencing others, and building credibility and trust with all levels of the organization, across functions.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, and excellent attention to detail to create connections and deliver effective presentations.
  • Accountable, curious, ambitious, and driven by contributing to business transformation and growth.
  • Maintain a high level of productivity and work effectively under the pressure of time constraints in a fast-paced, complex, collaborative, and team-oriented environment.
  • Fluency with Microsoft Office suite
  • Experience working with Salesforce.
  • Knowledge and/or passion for the Bakery business
  • Up to 15% travel

What You'll Do as a Business Analyst

  • Own and serve as the primary point of contact for eCommerce business analytics and reporting, including financial (e.g., sales and margin), customer data (e.g., registrations, adoption), and product data (e.g., SKU and unit incrementality) to provide a holistic view of eCommerce performance.
  • Organize, prioritize, and analyze critical issues and required information to facilitate efficient decision making.
  • Manage Sales team and Customer Service eCommerce performance tracking, including preparation of weekly and monthly performance summaries, and training sales team on performance indicators.
  • Own and define the reporting roadmap for continuous improvement; solicit input, incorporate feedback, and implement improvements that help the team achieve our eCommerce goals.
  • Identify and analyze trends in online-business performance to provide context, perspective, and insights to stakeholders and leadership to guide decision making.
  • Analyze data using multiple lenses and segmentations (e.g., customer, Sales team, geographic, loyalty, etc.) tailored to target audiences.
  • Provide support for key business initiatives and projects through leadership of, and collaboration with, cross-functional teams.
  • Drive data integrity via review and analysis of data, identifying and collaborating with various functions (e.g., Finance, IT, Sales Performance, etc.) to drive accuracy and assist in the design of effective data flow.
  • Provide data gathering and ad-hoc analysis as needed, with on-going special projects.
  • Present analysis to senior leadership, including the Chief Digital Officer and members of the North America Leadership Team
  • Champion and advocate for Dawn customers and the Sales team with Digital team to help ensure success of the eCommerce platform.
  • Support development of sales training materials and internal communications to engage, motivate, and enable Sales team to achieve results.
  • Demonstrate Dawn’s Values and support the Dawn Circle of Excellence

Compensation Range: $74,590 – $116,360 Annually + Bonus Potential
