Business Development Representative

Job Summary:

A Business Development Representative (BDR) works with customers to define their goals and ensure they are connected to the appropriate sales team for the BatchService product/s of interest. As a BDR, you will generate sales leads with new and existing customers by understanding how the BatchService product suite fits the customer’s business needs. You must be motivated, detail-oriented, and curious. The BDR will work with Account Executives and Account Managers to refer prospects and customers for upsell opportunities.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Meet or exceed sales goals and expectations for quotas

  • Arrange meetings with potential customers to discuss their needs
  • Identify which BatchService products can benefit the customer
  • Articulate customer needs correctly and accurately to the appropriate Account Manager or Account Executive
  • Maintain good customer relationships while building new customer relationships
  • Meet strict deadlines and respond in a timely and professional manner
  • Route customer requests to the appropriate customer service and support teams
  • Meet Daily/Weekly/Quarterly KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) communicated to you


Skills and Qualifications
  • Minimum of one year of related experience in sales, customer service or relevant role in the industry

  • Strong computer skills; proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; knowledge of CRMs
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Pays strict attention to detail
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment with excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Persuasive and unafraid to negotiate; has good business sense
  • Up-to-date on the latest industry trends; able to articulate trends and potential clearly and confidently
  • Possesses excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Able to multitask while efficiently managing priorities
