Full-Time Days
Responsibilities:
Responsible for partnering with physician offices to communicate emerging revenue cycle trends. The Billing Office Liaison will travel to clinic sites to work directly with staff and physicians on new or incorrect coding, held charts, orders management, authorization requirements, or any other communication to help enhance performance between front and back offices. The Liaison will be the primary resource for all billing, coding, and insurance questions to the office staff; they will coordinate professional development and other events to help provide meaningful updates on revenue cycle functions and trends. The Business Office Liaison will be required to travel locally/regionally to OHHP offices up to 75%.
  • Prepares insights based on dollar and compliance priorities for physician office charging and billing.
  • Presents information and offers educational opportunities to help address any opportunities.
  • Identifies missed or changed authorization requirements to facilitate smooth orders management with hospital services.
  • Targets charge lag and deficiencies.
  • Travels to clinics on a regular basis to provide elbow-to-elbow support to staff.
  • Constantly provides effective two-way communication between front and back offices to improve workflows for both parties.
Qualifications:
Education: Associates degree in Healthcare or Business is preferred, or experience in lieu of education. AAPC certification is strongly recommended but not required.

Experience
: Minimum of three (3) years of professional-based billing or claims. Coding experience is a plus,

Working Knowledge:
Must possess a foundational knowledge of physician charge entry and billing. Epic is a plus but not required.

Interpersonal Skills
: Must be able to effectively interact and communicate with adjacent departments, staff, physicians, and other clinic leaders. Must be comfortable presenting to large groups and effectively coordinating action plans and progress.
