The Business Systems Analyst I is responsible for working with a variety of stakeholders to design, develop, configure, test, and deploy Cass TIS solutions for National Account clients. The Business Systems Analyst I leads and directs client meetings to determine system needs. As an integral part of the client implementation team, this role works closely with IT to review, define, and design processes and procedures to ensure maximum efficiency and effectiveness of client systems.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Meets with clients to identify, evaluate and develop solutions to meet client system requirements.
- Creates functional and technical requirements documents that accurately depicts how the system should function to meet the clients’ needs and coordinates requirements walk-throughs and sign-offs to verify accuracy and completeness prior to system implementation.
- Acts as liaison between clients and Cass internal resources throughout the project.
- Performs in-depth analysis of information and documentation provided by the client or internal resources to ensure all solutions have been considered and addressed.
- Evaluates and interprets IT stored procedures and code to determine system functionality and operation.
- Performs self-directed research and analysis of available information and documentation to derive conclusions about data sets and system requests.
- Collaborates with internal resources as necessary to ensure the clients’ requirements can be achieved.
- Performs required tasks outlined by the project plan to ensure timely and successful implementation of client systems from initiation to go-live.
- Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE AND MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Public speaking ability and the ability to form strong relationships with external customers and internal staff at all levels, including senior management.
- Ability to work independently with little direct supervision.
- Ability to think laterally and critically to offer solutions for complex requirements.
- Ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a complex environment.
- Ability to take charge, work independently, and work on multiple projects simultaneously while successfully managing those projects from initiation through go-live.
- Proficient with Microsoft applications with emphasis on Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience querying relational databases (e.g. Microsoft SQL Server) or utilizing data warehouses to extract data for data analysis and troubleshooting preferred.
- Ability to travel approximately 20% of time; may include international travel.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Logistics and Supply Chain Management or related applicable field, or the equivalent combination of education and related experience.
- 3+ years of experience in an analytics and systems development capacity preferred.
- Logistics or transportation experience preferred.
