DevOps Engineer II (Work Remotely Anywhere in the U.S.)

With limited supervision, provides administration and support of Linux systems, automation tools Atlassian products, and cloud services. This is a unique opportunity to contribute extensively to the success of a rapidly growing technology company.The Gig:• Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of automated processes• Perform ongoing performance tuning, infrastructure upgrades, and resource optimization as required• Provision and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements• Research, develop, and implement innovative and where possible automated approaches for system administration tasks• Provide Tier III support for incidents and requests from various constituencies. Investigate and troubleshoot issues• Maintain and contribute to our knowledge base and documentation• Influence broader technology groups in adopting Cloud technologies, processes, and best practices• Creative thinking and proposing solutions to grow our business by delighting our clients• May perform other duties as assignedWhat You Need to Make the Cut:• BS in Computer Science, MIS, or related degree.• 5+ years of Linux systems administration and configuration experience• Strong scripting skills – Python / Bash preferred• 3+ years of AWS experience (EC2, S3, RDS, ELB, IAM, CloudWatch)• Experience with monitoring and alerting solutions required• Experience with DNS and web server configurations• Experience automating infrastructure builds utilizing tools such as Ansible, Puppet, Chef, or Cloud• formation• Knowledge of containers and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes• Knowledge of CI / CD pipelines and Agile methodologies• Highly motivated, Innovative, self-directed thinker with an eagerness to stay up to date with current• trends and a desire to impress• Excellent written and verbal communication skills• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills• Thrive in a fast-paced, innovative environmentThe pay range for this position is 90K to 125K per year (pay to be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data).This role is eligible to participate in the annual bonus incentive plan.Other Compensation: If this position is full-time or part-time benefit eligible, you will receive a comprehensive benefits package which can be viewed here: https://businessolver.foleon.com/bsc/job-board-businessolver-virtual-benefits-guide/The Businessolver Way…Our team has spent two decades crafting a culture that challenges each employee to perform at the top of their game – and have fun doing it!
