We're searching for an Aerospace Engineering Intern to join our team in Sterling, VA for Summer 2025! The internship will begin in May and last 10-12 weeks. You will be expected to work 100% on-site.

Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate should have strong academic credentials and experience working in a team environment, the single most important attribute is an inquisitive nature and a strong desire to learn real world applications to compliment your academic experience.
 

  • Use design software to prepare plans, drawings and analytical models
  • Evaluate designs for feasibility
  • Analyze critical elements or performance of the design using analytic tools, model scale and full scale testing, or prototyping as appropriate
  • Prepare reports of results and conclusions
  • Recommend and implement changes to designs based on conclusions
     

Qualifications:

Required: 

  • Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Aerospace Engineering or related discipline 
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future 
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills 
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, ability to work independently 
  • Ability to solve complex problems

Desired: 

  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred, but not required 
  • Previous internship/co-op or other work experience

Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
