For over 125 years, Calvary Hospital and Calvary @Home located in the Bronx, New York has been dedicated to the palliative care of advanced cancer and other terminally ill patients and their families. Through a caring, compassionate philosophy of non-abandonment, the hospital provides a full spectrum of palliative services, including emotional, spiritual, and physical care. The hospital receives patients from referring institutions throughout New York City and the entire tristate area. When you come to Calvary Hospital, you’re not just getting a job, you’re joining a family.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree required, as well as eligibility for certification within one year as a Chaplain by the National Association of Catholic Chaplains.
  • Masters Degree and Certification, preferred.
  • Training and experience in hospital ministry and/or counseling.
  • Approved faculties to function as a priest from the Archdiocese of New York.
  • Maintains good standing in the Archdiocese of New York.
  • Exhibits an ability and attitude relative to the spirit of caring and tradition at Calvary Hospital as required by specific job duties and functions.

Responsibilities:

The Roman Catholic Priest Chaplain is responsible for providing pastoral care and sacramental ministry to Roman Catholic patients, in collaboration with the rest of the pastoral team; providing pastoral care to assigned units when on-call; and sharing in the related activities of the department as a whole.

Part-time; Day shift.

Salary:

$31.9183-$35.0483/hour
