CAM (Computer Aided Manufacturing) Engineering Intern

Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) seeks a CAM (Computer Aided Manufacturing) Engineering Intern to support our brand-new printed circuit board factory. In this role you will learn how a printed circuit board is fabricated and the camming process that takes a PCB from design to production. You will collaborate with software engineers to define scripts for process improvement and process engineers to improve our camming process.

As a CAM (Computer Aided Manufacturing) Engineering Intern, a typical day might include the following:
  • Supporting SEL’s Computer Aided Manufacturing processes.
  • Verifying that software meets requirements.
  • Converting Printed Circuit Board designs to transition to PCB factory floor.
  • Providing support to engineering staff as needed.
  • Following engineering quality assurance procedures.
  • Continuously identifying, measuring, and improving processes.

This job might be for you if:
  • You are a current student at the University of Idaho or Washington State University pursuing a degree in electromechanical engineering or equivalent with at least one year of technical coursework complete.
  • You are able to execute and document defined testing procedures.
  • You have strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills.
  • You can learn new skills and assume new responsibilities.

Pay Range Data
$17.00 - $28.50 per hour. Our intern pay is determined based on the internship role (the work you would be doing) and your year in school (when you plan to graduate). Talk to your recruiter if you are curious about the rate for your year in school.
