Make history with us.The Customer Sales Lead is responsible for the development and implementation of joint business planning for Campbell's Snacks Direct Businesses, Pop Secret, Snack Factory and Pepperidge Farm Frozen to drive net sales within trade rate, volume, profit and share growth within assigned categories at Mid Atlantic Grocery customers. Responsibilities include proactively managing and monitoring the Campbell's Snacks Direct portfolio and creating, evaluating and updating business plans to meet all sales objectives including leading Acosta partners on Campbell's Snacks direct businesses for all Mid Atlantic Grocery customers like Wakefern (Pop Secret and Snack Factory, Wegmans (Pop Secret and Frozen), Weis (all snacks direct brands) and +10 other regional customers. In addition, the Customer Sales Lead is responsible for implementing brand strategies and tactics with the customer, by working closely with key decision makers and utilizing shopper and category initiatives to implement Distribution, Shelving, Merchandising, and Pricing (DSMP) objectives.Principal Responsibilities1. Utilize the E4 system/partner with Acosta to create optimal customer plans to drive the portfolio.2. Influence Acosta partners to drive the business profitably and within trade.3. Develop and implement trade promotion strategies and tactical plans with the customer - help develop and execute higher ROI activities.4. Proactively monitor and update the customer's overall business plan, including managing trade budgets, spending and volume, to achieve all sales objectives versus plan.5. Utilize shopper and category management practices to proactively link consumer and shopper trends and opportunities. Leverage Shopper Insights and Category Management resources appropriately.6. Leverage Customer Marketing resources to develop and implement collaborative marketing programs in alignment with brand and customer strategies.7. Conduct post event analysis to evaluate promotional volume, consumption, profit and spending results versus plan and leverage findings to maximize future promotional opportunities. Conduct category business reviews to discuss the state of the business, consumer trends, key business drivers, incremental opportunities, etc.8. Understand brand strategies and tactics and implement them by working closely with the customer's key decision makers, including buyers, category managers, merchandising leaders, marketing teams, etc.9. Develop accurate monthly forecasts in order to maximize supply chain efficiencies and trade rate by tracking deliveries, consumption data and inventory changes. Proactively call out potential risks or threats to monthly forecasts.10. Sell-in new items to customer and work with key customer personnel to achieve optimal distribution.11. Identify profitable opportunities to grow incremental volume and in-line space. Provide direction to Retail on how to implement customer specific plans at store level.12. Proactively monitor and manage DSMP principles.13. Manage and lead cross portfolio platforms to drive volume, profit and share growth. These platforms include but are not limited to: Back to School, Holiday, Big Game and Summer.Job Complexity•Able to assess customer's competitive position, behaviors and strategies and understand how they align with Campbell Snacks portfolio strategic goals to help determine a customer investment strategy (use of trade, customer marketing, and integrated marketing equities) that will best support a customer's revenue, profit and share growth.•Develop productive working relationship with key decision makers at various levels within the customer's organizational structure.•Requires cross-functional interaction within the customer team (e.g., Finance, Category Management, Sales Strategy, etc.).•Requires strong understanding of and experience with P&L management, trade and forecasting.Job Specifications•Bachelor's Degree•5-10 years of CPG Industry Sales and/or Category Management experience•Problem Solving Skills•Technical Skills•Category & Brand Knowledge•Analytical Skills•Interpersonal Skills•Negotiation Skills•Written and Verbal Communication Skills•Supply Chain Knowledge•P&L Management•Desire for growth to larger CSL role and ultimate people leadership responsibility.•This position requires residence locally to enable travel to Wakefern HQ in NJ for customer meetings, Camden World Headquarters and travel in market.#LI-RemoteCompensation and Benefits:The target base salary range for this full-time, salaried position is between$85,900-$140,800Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
